  Activities and Societies: Student Representative In this MA I focused on developing and improving skills related to the production of music and audio generally in various multimedia-related contexts. This ranges from creating an ambisonic foley-based soundscape to programming Ableton plug-ins as .amxd files using Max. This also included writing a dissertation which focused on the impact of acousmatic musical design and phenomenological philosophy on past and present EDM and IDM.

  Activities and Societies: MSET, MISM During this programme I developed my ability to teach as a subject specialist. I, as a placement tutor, taught at the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies on their BTEC Level 3 Audio and Music Technologies programme for a year. During this PGCE I learned the professional standards, relevant legislation, various learning theories (e.g., behaviourism, cognitivism, etc), subject specialist pedagogy, and more.This programme was pass/fail. I completed this programme with a pass.

  Activities and Societies: DAW Use (Logic X, Reaper, ProTools), Music Performance, Music Composition, Mixing/Mastering, Music Marketing, and Business. A Three year BA in Popular Music and Music Technology. A course in which I have learned much about music in all facets. Through this, I became adept at Logic X, Reaper and ProTools. For the latter of which, I am a certified ‘user’ (101/110), qualified as such through AVID 101 and 110 examination. Here I honed my musical skills and compositional ability.

  Activities and Societies: Music Performance, Piano Performance, DAW use (Logic X) A Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma Course at Derby College Joseph Wright. A course in music performance in which I honed my ability to play the piano and understand facets of music theory that I utilise in music composition today. I left with a D*DD. The A-Level equivalent would be three A-Levels, one in A* and two in A.
