  Overall responsibility for up to 4 different Barclays branches at once, including 15 staff and a market of over 10,000 customers. All aspects of business planning, complaint handling, risk management, performance and attendance management, coaching and developing of staff as well as enhancing and protecting the Barclays brand whilst building relationships in the community. Responsibilities also include involvement at area level through the planning and facilitating of staff training events and large meetings, also helping with HR processes such as recruitment and disciplinary, capability & grievance investigations.In my latter years as an Assistant Manager in a much larger business I was responsible for the commercial performance of the branch and had the pleasure of leading a team of 15 personal bankers on a day to day basis, looking after the financial needs of almost 19,000 customers.   As a Deputy Branch Manager my time is split evenly between leadership and portfolio management. I have line management responsibilities for the Private Banking team (currently 5 staff) to whom I provide support whilst coaching and developing via on the job training, observation and feedback as well as working through the annual objective setting and review processes.As a Relationship Manager I look after a portfolio of Corporate clients with complex borrowing and/or banking requirements. This involves everything from day to day servicing to annual review meetings, credit writing and approval within my assigned discretion as well as providing advice on various financial products.Business development, event planning and organising, operational rigour, business planning and getting involved in initiatives at a wider district/national level are also key parts of the role. Show less As a Private Banking Manager I was the relationship manager for around 250 private clients. I provided them with full day to day banking facilities along with Mortgages and Buy to Let lending. I also had access to a Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management colleague who helped my clients with their investment needs.As well as providing a high level of service to my existing customers I also developed my portfolio via recommendations from existing customers, meeting professionals whilst networking and working with Financial Advisors/Mortgage Brokers. I was also responsible for organising events to host professionals along with our existing and prospective customers. Show less In the Account Manager Support role my responsibilities included preparing the documentation and supporting the on-boarding of both Individual and Corporate clients. Setting up regulated and non regulated credit facilities including Mortgages, LIBOR loans and CCA products as well as helping clients get set up with our digital banking facilities. Once the client was up and running with their required facilities I acted as a point of contact for day to day support and processing any further requests that materialized. Outside of customer support I was the lead on the social network growth of our branch through LinkedIn, as well as organizing and supporting branch events both internally and externally.
