Bernadette was brought into the project after much of the planning had already been done. She inherited the project plan and had to operate without the support of an onsite client IT department. They had the normal out of scope and no money issues that every client has but it was exacerbated by an internal 'green' hosting model that created many road blocks, process challenges and lots of leg work to accomplish simple tasks. When all the 'cards were stacked' against her she found a way to make it happen. She acted with courage to venture into uncharted waters. She collaborated with the project manager, dug her heels in to identify all the project gaps and took the initiative to begin filling those gaps. I am confident in saying that this customer would not have gone LIVE this week without Bernadette's tenacity, persistence and determination. I am so proud of this accomplishment and want to share it with others. Show less

This was a role that we identified as missing when the original project was scoped. She came into the project already "behind the eight ball", but quickly assessed and made recommendations towards the resource needs and development approach for the custom work. She worked well with our technical consultants and quickly came up to speed on the MIT requirements. Where she truly earned her award here is when she helped identify and work through a very extensive development for MIT's eBill process. This was a program originally developed by another consultant, but was fatally flawed. Instead of rolling the issue back to the technical delivery, she rolled up her sleeves and took full ownership of the program to get it redesigned, redeveloped, and carried it forward to go live. This was a very challenging process as she was met with process roadblocks and technical questions that held her up from getting the work done. She met each issue head on and demonstrated a huge amount of courage, resolve, and dedication to ensure that the eBill program was designed and developed right for the client. Bernadette worked extra hours, took time away from vacation, and made several trips to MIT to work shoulder to shoulder with their team to deliver a successful eBill program. On top of this, she helped continue to push the other custom integration work forward and maintained her role as TA for the overall project. I recommend that we recognize Bernadette for her extraordinary effort, dedication, and courage in making sure that MIT is successful. She single-handedly brought this from flawed program to production ready go live and has provided valuable counsel to the rest of the project team across multiple deliverables. Show less
