  Emergency Department had this legacy EMTRAC database showing its age and typical of an old database of its generation, a bit messy but very interesting if you love that kind of challenges. I renormalized the tables to see whats in it or not in it, so I could create the fact and dimensions for the data warehouse. Wonderful working with the director to scrub the data for the ETL, learnt a lot about ER medicine along the way, enjoyed every minute of it.   The software system is part of an effort to head off a major global environmental problem with our oceans, our mission was and still is to encourage entrepreneurs to invest in aquaculture by providing scientific, technical and software support. My part was to work with the CTO of Xiamen aquaculture laboratory to design and implement the software system, which skewered to the sci-tech side. We broke down the system conceptually into major components and I used a cloud service.
