      The summer internship was completed under the guidance of Dr. Ram Kulkarni.Project title: ‘Identification and sequencing of 16S rRNA gene in NCDC cultures.’The genomic DNA from NCDC microbial cultures was isolated. The 16SrRNA gene was amplified and sequenced in order to identify the strain of the bacteria.

      I completed my M.Sc. dissertation under the guidance of Prof. Sanjeev Galande at IISER, Pune.The title of the project was ‘Identification of the domains of SATB1 and NFAT1 important for their interaction in T cells.’The project involved cloning the deletion proteins of SATB1and NFAT1 in tagged plasmid vectors. The proteins were expressed in bacteria and purified using affinity chromatography.The purified proteins were used to perform pull-down assays to identify the interacting domains. Show less
