      •Appointed Lead Pilot of the international team of collaborators of the Challenger Glider Mission. Duties include piloting the growing fleet of Global Class Slocum Gliders along trans oceanic basin legs, analyzing data collected, looking at global and regional ocean model data.•Student Mentor: Prepare and deliver presentations describing studies/analyses being conducted globally by Rutgers researchers with marine science research students. •Assisted in piloting the Slocum Glider, RU27, across the Atlantic by using High Frequency Radar that derived surface currents maps and monitored weather conditions, wave heights, water temperature, salinity and density, and height of communication satellites during the 221 day voyage. Was selected to be part of the RU27 glider recovery crew sent to Baiona, Spain, in December 2009. •Demonstrated how the Glider RU27 worked with an exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, Washington, DC and the Liberty Science Center, Jersey City, NJ. •Appointed International Student Ambassador for Rutgers in the NORUS program, a collaborative effort among Rutgers, California Polytechnic State University, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and the University Centre in Svalbard to study the effects of the changing climate on the Arctic region. •Adjusted the scales on the L-Band and X-Band satellite sea surface temperature data for the spring warm-up through summer (Linux Machine)•Assisted in a number of deployments and recoveries of Slocum Gliders along the NJ, CA and Canary Island coasts.•Assisted in repairing CODAR sites at various stations along the east coast.•Visualized Radial data from a number of Sea Sonde CODAR sites from the Rutgers network Show less
