      The mission of CT-TF1 is to provide a coordinated effort of personnel and resources to locate,extricate and provide immediate medical treatment when deployed to natural or manmade disasters, including hurricanes, floods, conflagragations, explosions, earthquakes or the use of weapons of mass destruction that result in events beyond the capability of local emergency services. This team is also trained in large area search, trench rescue and has added swift water rescue to its responses.
