  I designed 3 different flyers for the district-wide garden contest throughout the summer; I designed 2 flyers and 2 posters that coordinated to market the Ocean Friendly Garden (OFG) Workshops - one in July and one in August. I taught myself how to use Adobe Illustrator in order to create the marketing material. I also helped out with any desk work that needed to be done in the department and assisted in 3-4 projects.

  I designed flyers for upcoming speaker events at the university in print formats and media formats (for monitors in the buildings throughout campus). I was in charge of compiling an alumni database for the institute with Excel - I later used this database to send email blasts to all alumni about upcoming events sponsored or run by FAI. I updated the blog on the SCU website and controlled the Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, providing links to the blog site and any updates within the institute.

I was in charge of creating and ordering the signage for the event West Basin puts on in May every year, the SMART Expo (banners, posters, etc.). I was also in charge of outreaching to the schools and students that participated in an art contest earlier in the year; I then delivered posters and bookmarks from the contest to libraries in the area.
