      Working on the SANGCOM Programme and leading a team of Subject Matter Experts to develop solutions and deliver projects to the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG). The programme delivers fixed infrastructure and tactical / deployable capability to ensure the SANG can effectively defend against external threats and act as a security force against internal threats. Key areas of my responsibilities are:• Proposal development and work package implementation of rapid delivery projects consisting of core infrastructure, ITS, strategic radio coverage and optical fibre.• Ensuring contract compliance, fit for purpose, cost effectiveness, safety measures and customer approvals are adhered to at all times.• Management of multi-discipline teams including systems design engineers, installation design engineers, support engineers, project managers and operational staff.• Liaison with senior management, sub-contractors and identified stakeholders to ensure a continuous and high level of customer satisfaction.• Preparation and delivery of project metrics and reporting to the management team and key stakeholders.• Fully accountable for appropriate contribution to order book and sales opportunities.• To act as a liaison for the UK Ministry of Defence SANGCOM project team to capture User requirements and then deriving additional requirements to support proactive decision making and policy setting to meet customer aspirations. • Working with the business to assist in a change of working practices, translating corporate knowledge into practical useful processes to define company standards. Including the scrutiny and approval of bespoke work packages, ensuring business and legislative procedures were adhered to in support of all programmes within EADS DS UK. Primary responsibilities included:• Managing the department and providing technical leadership; continuously reviewing and updating internal processes and procedures to ensure that all engineers design and install to appropriate British, European and Military standards / legislation.• Attending engineering reviews to ensure that the installation engineering team comply with all necessary standards, ensuring best practice and value for money for the customer.• Managing the departmental professional development activities ensuring the business resource skill requirements are met through appropriate training or recruitment.• Ensuring that all new project bid work requiring input from engineering are covered, providing technical solutions for all fixed site installation design and ensuring that the proposal content provided adequately meets the on-going work package management. Managing a team of 43 engineers providing technical leadership, ensuring designs were delivered in line with the customer’s requirement.
