  After the war started in syria, we have moved to lebanon for few months. During that period, I have decided to work in a kindergarten as a volunteer. I have enjoyed this role in every way, it has helped me as a young person to see the perspective from a teacher point of view. I have enjoyed working with children. My role included drawing, teaching letters in English and Arabic, taking care of them during break time and provide them a meal. I have learnt how to be patient; it has also helped me to become closer to kids and see things from their point of view. I have always loved children and I would love to work with them again.   I have worked as a full-time customer service assistant for Primark and majority of my shift would be ensuring to follow my fixed schedule for the day including all the duties. I would also ensure to showcase verbal communication skills. And as a customer service assistant, i was able to effectively communicate with all the customers if they needed support.

  I have been chosen to work as a welcomer in my sixth form, because I am a very confident person with great communication skills. My duty was to welcome students who were interested in applying to my sixth form for next year. Taking them to different fields, introduce them to the facilities and answer any questions or enquiries they had. This role has helped me to enhance my competition and communication skills.

  Alongside my studies, I have been taking care of my disabled mother full-time job. I was her personal carer. My duty included everything such as cleaning, cooking, washing, dressing, showering, walking, shopping and translating. I have been taking care of my mother since 2019.

  I am an equality officer and event planner committee at the University of Bristol. My role includes planning events and looking after members who join the society to ensure they are comfortable and be able to answer any questions and enquiries they have. The society is called “friends of Palestine” and our role is to inform people the history of Palestine and embrace the culture, we also plan events and debates to bring up different topics associated with the occupation of Palestine.
