I exemplified professional competence, especially as relates to the specific assignment and student grading, along with subject area appropriateness, as well as through effective collaboration with teacher colleagues.       Goddard Scholars Academy (GSA) is an innovation school, housed within Sullivan Middle School. GSA offers a city-wide magnet program for 150 highly motivated middle school students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Teachers prepare students for the rigors of high school and to compete on the national level for college readiness and careers through challenging academic course work, technology, and reading and writing across the curriculum. English/History teacher (1). Teach classes of English (6th) and History/Civics (8th) based on dual licensure with SEI endorsement. Apply demonstrated ability in technology skills for instruction and extension activities, having familiarity with the state Frameworks. Understand using and analyzing data to drive instruction. Demonstrate ability to use formative and summative assessments. Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching team of the GSA-demonstrate understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and vision of the Goddard Scholars Academy and Sullivan Middle School. Willingness to take on leadership roles at the school, such as leading parent involvement or communication initiatives, recruiting the incoming class, being a member of the Instructional Leadership Team for the larger school.
