  I was assigned a project on the Mississippi Lime extending down into Woodford Shale on the Anadarko Shelf. Using GGX software: created three cross-sections from well log data - two in dip direction and one along strike. I had to choose the formation tops in over a thousand wells before I could accomplish this. I then created three maps: two gross thickness isopach maps and one structural. My final assignment was a presentation to Senior Geologists regarding my work.

  I have successfully defended my thesis and graduated as of May, 2015 with a Master of Science Degree in Petroleum Geology.Thesis title: An Oil-Source Rock Correlation Examining the Potential of the Chattanooga Shale as a Source Rock for Oil within the Spivey-Grabs-Basil Field, Kingman and Harper Counties, KansasVery exciting results have been revealed by my research that will add insight into unconventional production for south-central Kansas in the future!   Integrated Exploration Geologist Intern

  -Created 3D basin models using TEMISFlow for the investigation of the thermal effect of salt in subsalt terrenes in the Gulf of Mexico. -Using simulated data, created charts to successfully predict the subsalt thermal profilesmimicking lithology in Keathley Canyon. -Validated the predictive models with analogue well data. -Presented findings to GoM Exploration.
