A collective effort to start a conversation about the prevailing toxic environment, fostering of rape culture, and the widely unreported and mostly ignored instances of sexual misconduct, in educational institutions.At a time when we cannot even scroll through our social media, or just read a newspaper, without coming across a single news headline about sexual violence, assault or harassment, and these instances and statistics continue to surge, education should have ideally been one of the killers of these social and moral evils. But educational institutions, through various means which we intend to discuss, continue to be the perpetrators of it.You carry a power. A power to change yourself, those around you, and the system. And thus, we bring to you a platform, a safe space, for you to share your own stories and your experiences of moral policing, victim blaming, slut shaming, sexual misconduct or anything you feel is relevant. Our mission is to level the playing field between children that come from more fortunate backgrounds and those who do not possess the same privilege.   The YLAC Counter Speech Fellowship with Instagram engages creative teenagers to use the power of visual storytelling to lead change. Anchored at the crossroads of arts and advocacy, the fellowship was first launched in 2017 and has since expanded rapidly. It is said that art – be it in the form of writing, painting, sketching, poetry, music, photography, or otherwise – is one of the strongest ways to evoke emotion, make society introspect and inspire change in people. Art can also be a common language that helps transcend boundaries to strengthen collective action.
