      Travelled to institutions/orphanages in Minsk, Belarus on three separate occasions to work with severely disabled children and adults there.Acted as team leader in August 2009 on a trip with 22 4th year secondary students.Was fully involved in the interview process, training and supervision of these volunteers.Work ranged from implementing art, drama and music therapy programmes to organising sports and theme days. We were also involved with the general upkeep and renovations of the institutions during our free time.Have also been involved in numerous fundraisers on behalf of BOP including a fashion show, mini-marathon, cake sales, coffee mornings, supermarket bag packs and bucket collection days.       In this role I carried out intensive one-to-one teaching and held shared responsibility for the care of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Implementing the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to teach each student's IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals.I Worked in a classroom environment with five children aged 8-11 with varying levels of ability along with four other ABA tutors. Programmes in this classroom ranged from teaching functional communication and life skills to reading, writing and maths. All programmes were carried out on both a 1:1 and a group basis.I was involved in the Implementation of all children's speech and language and occupational therapy plans on a daily basis. Using sign language (ISL) and PECS communication programmes with three of the children who were non-verbal.I Liaised with other health professionals including GP's, Dieticians, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Music, Art and Drama Therapists, Psychologists and Psychiatrists.Carried out functional analysis and implemented behaviour support plans with a child who presented with severely challenging, aggressive behaviour.Attended numerous staff training days on issues such as Epilepsy, First Aid and Organisational Psychology.Liaised with family members to ensure they were informed of all developments regarding ongoing care.       I am an active member of a multi-disciplinary, Systemic Family Therapy team working in four CAMHS clinics across Warwickshire. Our team consists of a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, two family therapists, a CAMHS practitioner, a trainee psychiatrist and a Band 6 nurse. I Assist Clinical Psychologists with ADOS and Choice assessments on a regular basis.Currently hold sole responsibility for the carrying out of a small scale Family Therapy service evaluation project using the SCORE-15 outcome measure. This includes data collection, coding, analysis and project write-up.I am a member of a team providing specialist CAMHS input through evidence based psychological interventions (e.g CBT, Mindfulness and Maudsley approach) for children and their families/carers. Client referrals range from severe eating disorders, ADHD and ASD to a wide variety of emotional and behavioural difficulties.I Work collaboratively with social workers, foster carers and colleagues in education through the attendance of monthly Child In Need, School and CAMHS Review meetings.Ongoing development of skills in the field of attachment/ trauma and systemic approaches through experiential learning sessions and regular attendance at team meetings and training days.I hold shared responsibility for confidential data concerning clients. This includes clinical note taking during, pre and post client sessions, therapeutic and professional/referral letter writing, monthly audits on client files and quarterly audits on Family Therapy clinics.I engage children and their families in difficult and distressing circumstances, work as part of a team on a daily basis and am confident in my communication and I.T skills.
