Being that I was that person, I gained valuable experience in the area of customer service. I was responsible for balancing and calculating cash registers throughout the day, including a final count at the end of each shift. At this position I was also expected to stock shelves, complete Smart Counts, and even help with product placement. After about two years with the company, I was promoted to the position of Photo Specialist. Still responsible for all that of a Store Clerk, I gained the responsibility of maintaining an organized store in a fast paced and changing environment. Given the nature of this position, my customer service skills were fine-tuned to handle customers on a more personal basis. In my quest to find, develop, and share content for each dealership I became even more familiar with the many mediums of social media I grew up with, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest. Utilizing the data and feedback provided from the respective mediums, I quickly became familiar with defining and reaching target audiences and leveraging purposeful content to help the SMAG achieve its goals. Being responsible for the online reputation of 11 dealerships also required me to assist in the creation, promotion, and oversight of community marketing events all over South Florida. I enjoyed adapting to challenges that each provided, whether it was a high-end fashion show at The Fillmore Miami Beach or a family-oriented event at Pinecrest Gardens. Jun 2016 - Jan 2020Operations ManagerThe experience, growth, and opportunity I have received with Vale Food Co has been extremely fulfilling, enormously challenging, and ultimately one of the most rewarding periods of my life.In June 2016, I joined the Meal Plan division of the company. As the Customer Service Manager for Vale’s Meal Delivery, I routinely managed over 100 clients on a week-to-week basis. The entire management of client services & operations was within my scope of responsibility –– sales & client management, staffing, product selection, service logistics, and every operation in between. In February 2018, we launched Meal Delivery in Gainesville. Bringing Vale to a new market brought about new challenges and learning opportunities. Vale generated $48,000 in sales within 6 months, and we nearly doubled that amount in the 6 months following. In the same time span, Meal Delivery in Tallahassee generated $266,000 in sales. In total, Meal Delivery services have generated over $1.7 million in revenue for our restaurants. Upon graduating in 2018, I accepted an Operations Manager position. Still involved with our Meal Delivery division, my focus honed in on Vale’s restaurant operations and scaling the company. In this time we have grown the number of Vale restaurants from 3 to 7, with locations in Tallahassee (3), Gainesville, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.Among the most important of my responsibilities is collaborating & communicating with store General Managers to help each store’s operations exceed their performance goals, and ensure each location is operating in alignment with brand values and company practices. I am also tasked with leading our “third party” delivery partnerships with UberEats, DoorDash, and others. Together, these partnerships will generate over $600,000 in sales for Vale in 2019.
