      • Lead a team of analysts in applying Machine Learning algorithm (like GBM, CNN, etc) to benefit the Operations and business. Work with Ops and ICT to integrate the "Intelligence" to the work process and decision making.• Oversee "Capacity Planning" of Singapore Terminals, including Tuas Terminal planning and development schedule.• Oversee "Lean Operations of Singapore Port"• Worked with Singapore Commercial Department and Finance Department on various scenarios of new shipping alliances, Joint Ventures possibilities, pricing and cost structures. • Worked with PSA Group to identify the impact of mega vessels deployments and shipping alliances to the port and advised management on various measures could be taken.• Supporting management in analysis for Port adjacency area. Show less • Started a new section called "Capacity Planning" to oversee Singapore Terminals capacity (City Terminals, Pasir Panjang Terminals and the future Tuas)• Monitored increased complexity of transshipment business, shipping alliances and mega vessels deployment in order to make sure that Singapore Terminals are able to serve its function as leading transshipment hub in the world.• Proposed various plans and schedules of capacity expansion (long term), infrastructure upgrading (medium term) and customers re-positioning (short term) within Singapore Terminals.• Worked with Optimization team to develop "Service Allocation Tool", which is an intelligent automated tool to advice Ops on customers re-positioning based on various constraints and considerations. The software is able to recommend new plan which generate 5% savings in connection cost compared to manual decision.• Heavily involved in the micro design of Pasir Panjang Phased 3/4 from size of each yard blocks, Quay Crane turnover pits location, Reefer points capacity to number of operators required to be trained up to handle new ops process. Show less • Developed various simulation modules for Port Operations using Auto Mod. • Came out with Cost and Benefit Analysis of various terminal layout, ops process, and equipment type options from Operations' perspective through validated simulation model for Pasir Panjang Container Terminal expansion (Phase 3 & 4).• Worked with Finance Department to come out with overall terminal design proposal and the financial impact.• Part of the development team of future terminal expansion of Pasir Panjang Phases 3/4 and Tuas terminal. Show less • Lean Operations team member for Pasir Panjang Container Terminal.• Developed "Yard Management Tool" to advise Operations on the need to move specific Yard Crane from one location to another location and to re-planning specific activities from one location to another location to avoid congestion and imbalance of workloads that were forecasted to happen in the next 2 hours. It increased yard productivity by 2%.• Part of the development team of future terminal expansion of Pasir Panjang Phases 3 and 4. Main role is to decide the macro layout of the terminal, including the number of equipments required for the new terminal.• Responsible of analyzing various terminal layout and work with Operations counterpart on ops process enhancement for future terminal. Show less • Lean Operations team member for Pasir Panjang Container Terminal.• Heavily involved in discussion with Operations Managers in ops process re-engineering and continuous improvement through data analysis and development of semi automated / automated decision support tool.• Some examples: - Developed "Yard Crane Deployment Tool" to automatically count and deploy number of Yard Crane for next shift. It increased the yard operations productivity by 5% without increasing the cost. - Developed "Alternate Space Search Tool" to advise Operations on where to divert the truck when there is unexpected congestion happened in the initial location. It increased the truck productivity of 10% for the impacted trucks Show less
