      As would any other high-school student, York students are required to attend classes on a regular basis (divided into A-G days), study and test on the current material, ending each semester with Final Examinations.Each student is also expected to perform a 'Work Job' where the student will be assigned to a specific task to help clean up the campus as a team.The major difference between a traditional public (or even some private) High Schools and York School is the community itself; I have yet to find another local private school where interactivity of such a positive magnitude exists between Freshmen and Seniors (And not in the form of bullying, either.)       As Head of Marketing at Monterey Bay Alternative Medicine, I work in a team-based environment that revolves around conceptualizing, planning and implementation of promotions and sales held throughout the year in a quick and efficient manner. My primary position is to manage all incoming events, promotions, and sales, then delegating tasks to our team. I primarily lead our graphic design projects, which involves designing all artwork, signage and promotional material to be presented in our Lobby and Showroom (Examples included below). I also manage the social media channels used by the business (Instagram, Facebook, Google +, Twitter, etc.) to effectively distribute our promotional and informational content to the optimal audience.As a team, we would receive new products from our Purchasing Department via Chain of Custody to analyze and create new product information sheets and marketing materials to drive sales of these items. Once the products are transferred to our Sales Showroom, our job is to create appealing signage and social media content to draw the customer's attention to new arrivals. We would then analyze any sales data for popularity to determine if we should continue to restock these products.My job also involves communicating with large manufacturers, stateside or international, to order promotional paperwork and items such as lanyards, T-shirts, stickers, business cards and more. We have worked with companies such as Real Thread, Vistaprint, Roll Your Own Papers, Logo Lighters, Custom Hat Pins to help produce our ideas and bring them to life.Finally, I troubleshoot and maintain many different technical issues that may arise, such as replacing printer parts, fixing issues with our continuous ink systems and troubleshooting network connection issues on our printers and computers.
