      Database Administrator

Created/executed SQL queries/stored procedures that quality assured the picture archiving communications system (PACS). Installed/configured server/client database applications. Created reports of exam activity from the Radiology Information System (QuadRIS) for physicians. Analyzed and resolved problems with the interfaces between the department’s database systems and the various hospital systems.Biostatistics Consultant, Department of Anesthesiology/Epidemiologists and BiostatisticsCollaborated with a physician and a senior biostatistician in determining the patient characteristics associated with the development of atrial fibrillation after undergoing thoracic surgery. Utilized SAS and SPSS for the data entry, cleaning and analysis. The results will then be used to make clinical recommendations for patients undergoing thoracic surgery.Research Study Coordinator, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Data Management Resource Group. Collaborated with Research Study Assistants/Physicians working on Phase I-III clinical trials by providing relational database querying support using Oracle Browser (SQL) and technical support in our Clinical Research Database. Managed an enterprise level Oracle relational database which involved modifying data entry forms and questionnaires and updating valid lists. Collected, compiled and maintained clinical trial data using a relational database. Provided classroom and one-to-one training for new personnel in the use of a relational database. Reviewed, audited and assisted in amending clinical trial protocols for the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Tested new database module changes and resolved programming errors. • Northwell Health

      Mar 2002 - now

Performed extensive data mining/wrangling/harmonization, validation and interpretation of EMR data (Allscripts SCM/Touchworks, SIS, Radiology, Billing Data etc.) using SQL/Python/SAS in meeting COVID-19 research requests and other data requests of the research community.Designed and developed an online scalable custom search interface (akin to PubMed’s Advanced Search Builder) allowing users to query data across multiple domains (demographic, laboratory, medication, procedure, encounter etc.). Search results were then used for grant submissions and for data analyses. Managed the Biostatistics Randomization Management System (BRMS), a web-based system that I developed which plays a crucial role in executing the many clinical trials of FIMR, including the new COVID-19 trials.Managed SAS user accounts and provided programming guidance to SAS users. Collaborated with infrastructure team to resolve SAS Server performance issues. Show less Utilize SAS to create logical checks on clinical data from pharmaceutical clinical trials and internal research projects; to perform statistical analyses; to create standard reports for submission to government agencies; and to manage/back-up data from various sources across network. Create web-based databases for clinical data management purposes using Coldfusion and JavaScript. Collaborate with physicians and investigators in writing protocols/grants for submission to the IRB and for government funding. Provide support and management of department network of Windows 7 workstations. Show less
