  The Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil has a research department specializing in water management issues. The aim of my internship in this research laboratory was to produce an analysis of the institutional difficulties that distance the way drinking water is managed today in the State of Minas Gerais from that normally guaranteed by the Brazilian Constitution.   I began my career at the French Ministry of Finance in the “network economics” office of the Treasury Department. This office provides economic policy advice on transport and energy to the cabinet of the Minister of the Economy and Finance. Expertise covers both infrastructure investment decisions and regulatory policies. My role was to be deputy to the head of the office and to be specifically in charge of transport issues (passengers and goods) for road, air, sea and river modes.Between February 2013 and June 2014, I worked at the "Agence des participations de l'Etat" (State Shareholding Agency), as associate responsible for the National Railway Group (SNCF). My mission was to look after the State's financial interests by proposing positions to the Minister of the Economy on the major events in the life of SNCF: its strategy, its main investment and financing programs, and its acquisition and disposal projects.
