  I had the privilege in gaining experience by seeing first hand of what an audiologist can do to help patients with hearing impairments. The audiologist assisted patients with a full diagnostics with a hearing test and determined the amount of decibles the patient may hear, or not hear! I learned to engage with patients by asking them, 'What seems to be troubling you?' and 'Are there any concerns with your hearing?' Some patients had minor hearing loss, and some would contain mild to profound hearing loss. It's in the patients decision if he or she may want hearing aids, or other listening devices to provide better hearing. I observed for 20 hours at delta medix. Show less
