Aug 2009 - Jul 2015In this role I supervised a 7 member solar team with an annual budget ranging from $6-$20 million to develop innovative solar deployment programs in Massachusetts. This work included the successful implementation of policies and procedures associated with all solar incentive programs, including the efficient review and approval of up to 6,000 projects annually. I lead the implementation for MassCEC to administer the $30 million Mass Solar Loan program in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, and successfully designed and implemented the nationally recognized Solarize Mass Program in 46 communities, representing over 2,448 solar contracts for over 15 MW of solar, decreasing the average cost by 18-20% for participants purchasing solar. My interests included driving outreach and education of Massachusetts solar programs to encourage greater deployment, including numerous presentations to different state and federal agencies, various municipalities, trade associations, businesses, and conferences. Additionally, this work included assisting DOER on solar soft cost reduction efforts through the Department of Energy Rooftop Solar Challenge. Show less In this role I managed the operations and program development for the Commonwealth Solar II and Commonwealth Stimulus Programs, which involved over 200 installation companies. This work involved overseeing the complex reporting requirements for over 70 stimulus projects, including wage reporting, compliance with Davis-Bacon and Buy American requirements, and reporting to the US DOE. Additionally, my work focused on advising the solar team, addressing solar inquiries from industry stakeholders, press, and public agencies, and working as a collaborator between MassCEC and DOER to streamline and enhance solar incentives within the state.
