  SGS acquired the St. Louis division of TSI Graphics in late 1999. I helped manage the merger of the current SGS St. Louis division into the TSI Graphics facility, while moving the catalogue clients and production workflows of TSI to their Effingham, IL division.I was in charge of all customer facing and internal technologies. Managed local IT and Support team. Helped to implement and manage the SGS corporate online and approval systems.I was asked to help create and co-chair the Packaging Subcommittee of Ghent PDF workgroup, an industry standards group that is dedicated to the development of best practices and specifications to support international exchange of PDF files. I leverage a broad range of technologies to enhance graphic design to print production process, with an emphasis on packaging.Some of my key contributions to this role include the following:• I provided consultation to a packaging printing firm to validate and refine workflow production methods and worker competencies, helping the printer establish better scheduling expectations for external clients and reducing turnaround time by 20% without needing to hire additional headcount.• I spent over four months defining and refining steps and workflow requirements used in packaging of regulated items for a government agency; I helped establish needs and consequences of change, impact to supply chain, and overall timeline to effect proposed changes, leading to several follow up work projects to help refine design and prepress aspects in regards to possible changes, including consumer market testing that this may require.
