  Operations manager

  As an Operations Manger in a Fund with a small headcount, I am called to step up to various functions within the Team.Daily work requires that I am proficient in various industry standard processes from standard trade settlements through OTC instruments, including long form settlement documentations. This is on top of daily internal reporting, trade booking, position and cash reconciliaitons. Under the Treasury function I report, manage and meet daily margin requirements facing counterparties including optimising the Fund's margin requirements though the allocation of investments accross our Prime Brokers. At times, proposing and executing large scale portfolio rebalancing exercises to meet the needs of the Fund.I am versed in the creation of reports for both investors and internal use. Having prepared routine monthly exposure and performance reports, I am also invloved in the creation of customised reporting requests from investors for their own needs.All of the above has to be juggled and prioritised to meet deadlines and would not be possible but for my ability to work using Excel. I have created Excel models and VBA macros to assist myself and the Team with streamlining monotonous processes, and repetitive work. Increasing efficiency and lowering risk of human errors accross the Team.With a background in IT, I am the designated point contact for all things technology related, while spearheading annual DR tests and other ad-hoc projects like Vulnerability Testing, system architecture upgrades, grants and other work.
