  In this role I advice the board with their duties, fiscalize the organization finances, help solving conflicts, address the wellbeing of the members in the organization. What does BEST mean? Board of European Students of Technology is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organisation. Since 1989, BEST has been providing communication, co-operation, and exchange possibilities for students all over Europe. As a member of BEST, I'm able to work on my soft skills and earn skills and experience in the most variable areas possible, attend to trainings and create connections with international students. I have developed my skills in the Adobe Software, by creating content to post on social media of BEST Almada Coordinated a team of 14 members, teach then the basic skills, motivated then and tried my best to help them develop themselves. In this position I help the Design coordinator to coordinate the team.

  Bachelor's research project: developing fluorescent chemosensors for metal ions | nova university

  During my final bachelor's project at NOVA University, School of Science and Technology, I had the privilege of delving into the realm of chemistry innovation. Working alongside Professor Artur Moro within the Photochemistry Lab, part of the esteemed REQUINTE group, I embarked on a mission to enhance the world of chemical analysis.My project focused on crafting fluorescent chemosensors for metal ions, with a special emphasis on achieving higher selectivity and minimizing disturbance to the microenvironment during analysis. This research venture not only aligned with the growing importance of precise analysis in fields like analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and medicine but also presented an exciting challenge.I am proud to highlight the successful synthesis of a selective zinc (II) detection sensor, a pivotal contribution to the advancement of fluorescent chemosensors for metal ions. Through extensive characterization, including molar extinction coefficient (19137 L cm^-1 mol^-1) and quantum yield (1.33x10^-3), and the exploration of coordination properties with zinc (II), I uncovered vital insights that bolster the field's progress.This journey culminated in an in-person defense, where I had the privilege of sharing my findings with the academic community. Grateful for the guidance of Professor Artur Moro and the collaborative atmosphere within the Photochemistry Lab and REQUINTE group, I am excited to continue contributing to the ongoing evolution of selective chemosensors, empowering more accurate analyses across diverse applications.
