Serve as a team member on several surveys including Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS), Organic Census, Floriculture Census, Horticulture Census, and Agricultural Survey. Duties of team members include but are not limited to editing and analyzing data produced from surveys.- Build maps with ArcGIS software using the gathered data of state/counties commodities. Maps are continuously published in brochures of the Region County Estimates for main commodities. Brochures are classified by state and commodity and also includes graphs and tables of data. - Perform weekly website updates and maintenance of the portal extension agents and other specialists used to report the condition and progress of crops, condition of topsoil and subsoil and general weather in their county. Data reported sets the estimates for the Weekly South Carolina Crop Progress and Condition Report available online for the public every Monday afternoon. This report is an essential tool for farmers and agricultural industry to forecast the production, understand current field conditions, and crop statuses.
