  Sports, swimming and fitness coach

  I delivered specific sports and activity coaching in primary and high schools across West Yorkshire as part of the physical education curriculum. I taught PE lessons at different age groups and abilities, and liaised with teachers and the head of year to arrange lunch time and after school coaching sessions. I also delivered early years basic sports skills to develop initial skills and hand-eye coordination.   Managing my own personal training business for over three years I helped many clients achieve and go beyond their original health and fitness goals. A confident group exercise instructor with experience teaching and delivering circuits, Boxercise and kettlebells classes. I Organised, advertised and delivered group weight loss seminars and kettlebell technique classes for people to attend within the health club in order to generate leads for potential personal training clients.

  Managing the quality and standards for a team of 15 Assessors, I sample and internally verify a range of different Active Leisure qualifications including Fitness Instructing Level 2 and Personal Training Level 3. I visit trainer/ assessors in the field to observe and assess their competence, and identify development needs. I deliver one to one support, and am responsible for each individual team members grading and development. As the person responsible for the development and training of the team, I organise and deliver team support days and standardisation meetings. This involves trainer/ assessor professional development, specific training around qualifications, and standardisation activities based on the company requirements and feedback received from awarding body. Zobrazit méně Managing a learner caseload of 55-60, I developed very strong relationships with learners, and liaised with manager and key accounts to provide outstanding training provision and continued business development. I achieved and exceeded monthly targets on visits with learners, new learner sign ups and timely completions, and was among the top trainers in my sector for self-generating leads. I was awarded a Lifetime SPIRIT Award based on my consistent high performance and the supportive responsibilities I took on within the team. Supporting my manager with a lead role in the team, I gained experience managing the open and self-generated leads, delivering weekly conference calls on critical learners, and mentoring less experienced members of the team. I also took on a mentoring role with new, unqualified Regional Trainers, and gave detailed developmental feedback on the quality of the assessment decision, learner feedback and the standard to which they are assessing.
