      Level II clinical rotation in the acute care setting as an Occupational Therapy student. I was responsible for evaluating, treating, and discharging patients under the supervision of a clinical instructor. I provided Occupational Therapy to patients on the burn unit, neurology unit, orthopedic unit, trauma unit, and surgical/medical intensive care units. I also worked directly with Physical Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists, to treat patients residing in the Acute Care facility of Westchester Medical Center. I gave an in-service to the WMC rehabilitation department on "Positioning and Splinting for Burn Patients". Show less

      I designed and implemented ten therapy sessions per day for 0-3.8 year old children. In addition, I evaluated the children using the Peabody Developmental Motor Scale-2nd Edition (PDSM-2). Lastly, I formulated and continuously updated goals utilized at six month and annual IFSP meetings. Each session was client-centered; the activities highlighted strengths while also targeting areas for development.
