  It was an opportunity of a lifetime to be able to serve as a teaching assistant for gifted kids, who were invited to explore college-level topics in a classroom setting. I helped the course instructor in developing interactive methods in which the students can apply the rigorous course content through inquiry-based learning. The students between the ages of 12-18 sought advice from us regarding college applications, careers, extracurriculars, and social life. As I embark on this journey towards becoming a physician, DUKE TIP further allowed me to understand the importance of team-based approaches and apply them in medicine. Show less
