  Augmented Reality Software Engineer

  I developed a research project for the Simulation Laboratory of the School of Medicine of Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) in Bucaramanga for the training of medical students in the Rectal Prostate Examination procedure; directed by professors Lola Bautista and Luis Eduardo Bautista.After being granted a scholarship by the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, from the hands of the President of Colombia, Ivan Duque, the U.S. Ambassador and the Minister of IT (at that time Colciencias), I did my studies in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC), where I was trained in the use of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies.From there, we began the research project that required the use of the Unity video game engine, as well as the Leap Motion augmented reality device, to materialize a project hand in hand with two talented Industrial Design students.In December 2021 the project was successfully presented in presence of the directors of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, researchers of Bucaramanga and Bogota and a representative of the School of Computer Science of UMKC.
