  1. Enhance surveillance capabilities of the Notifiable Diseases Surveillance by improving data collection, sharing, and analysis across the entire public health community.2. Analysing the epidemiological data of epidemic prone diseases extracted from the surveillance system, validating the data and interpreting the data for public health decision-making of FMOH/state MOH.3. Improving availability and timeliness of surveillance data analysis and interpretation.4. Conduct analysis and support the dissemination of weekly surveillance reports to assist in collecting surveillance Data from different reporting health facilities, entering, editing and cleaning up data, generating reports and submits to FMOH.5. Monitor diseases and conditions that can cause serious illness or a significant public health concern.6. Triage incoming information to identify events of potential concern for further consideration and investigation.7. Produce a list of events requiring a rapid risk assessment.8. Provide support and trainings on data collection and analysis in state level9. Regularly review all weekly epidemiological reports from health facilities and produce summary sheet indicating number of epidemic prone diseases reported and investigated on a weekly basis against the target.10. Maintain and update the sentinel health facilities in all regions reporting to the IDSR11. To provide technical support to State, Regional, and District surveillance officers and others in sample collection and transport for laboratory testing for regions and districts with border crossings.12. Provide guidance to ensure that all reported priority conditions are adequately investigated.13. Support state Emergency response team to investigate and respond to outbreaks of diseases reported in different parts of the state14. To review and update preparedness and response plans for epidemic prone diseases15. Perform other duties as requested by Program Manager. Show less
