      o Oversee a board of 8 members and a club of 50+ diverse members, ensuring and inspiring responsibility in their tasks and efforts toward the club and the students we serveo Lead a training at the beginning of each quarter for incoming student instructors in order to give them tips and advice on how to be an effective teacher in the classroomo Facilitate learning in the classroom and ensures that student instructors are engaging the students and utilizing the curriculum that meets current science (NGSS) standardso Adapted the entire plan of the 2021-2022 school year to be online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, I helped transform our existing in-person 1st and 2nd grade environmental science and sustainability curriculum to an online zoom model for 2nd-4th graders. I also assisted a Cal Poly Liberal Studies Professor in pioneering a virtual STEM Day for 4th-6th grade students. We created a lesson based on marine plastic pollution and environmental justice. Finally, we created a series of fun environmental education videos that touch on science topics that are present in the San Luis Obispo community, such as the Monarch Butterfly migration. Show less
