      Responsible for the recovery, identification, care, and disposition of remains of deceased personnel for whom the Department of the Navy is responsible. Arranged for the burial of the deceased so that they would be conducted in an expedient but dignified manner, and the survivors of the deceased were given the greatest possible amount of support and assistance. I am also responsible for inspecting remains, briefing escorts and making travel arrangements, burial at sea coordination, and manage deaths that occur at the hospital.
