Of special mention is his engagement in 1999 with an American news agency WNL in the Middle-East as a technical director and cameraman to make a series of documentaries titled ‘Arabian Awakening’ that opened up his world view. He also has a few feature films to his credit, among which ‘Prohor’ won National Awards in 2003.His independent films reflect strong social and political messages through simple human stories. He has constantly strived to explore wide spectrum of cinematic treatment. ‘Cockadoodle Do’ was a 3-minute short musical fiction while ‘BOM’ was a 2-hour long documentary without any non-diegetic music. Incidentally ‘BOM’ was theatrically released nationally, a rare accomplishment for a documentary in India. His unique style of visual narrative that projects a distinctive signature, is shaped by his fascination for documentary format and his years of experience. Whether it is a TVC for WWF or a promotional video for National Literacy Mission the characteristic treatment makes them engaging and memorable.His strength lies in artistic intuition and creative imagery. As a tribute to aesthetics of photography he has revived a century old view camera to create original photographic images. Show less
