      Coach & Thinking Partner

I work with you to clarify what’s important, what needs to change and how best to support and enable those transitions.I will stretch your thinking and help you to look at issues from different perspectives and consider multiple causes and outcomes. I will help you to surface assumptions and patterns of thinking that may be holding you back, all the while loving the fact that you think differently to me.I will be genuinely curious about your situation, pay careful attention to your words and your silence, and help you take a more holistic view of where you are and what is going on. I will respect you for who you are, recognise the power of your thinking and create an environment where you feel safe and valued. I will provide a comfortable space where you can think creatively, speak freely and move forward.I will ask you incisive questions, but only when it is helpful to you. I will respectfully challenge you to stop procrastinating, stop worrying about the ‘what if’s’, and motivate you to make progress with practical steps towards your goal.I will be your 'thinking partner' …For more on the principles behind thinking partnership, see:Kline N. (1999). Time to Think: listening to ignite the human mind. London; Ward Lock Show less

      Oct 2024 - now
      Non Executive Director

Our mission at Ignis Lodge is to create a vibrant community where individuals find a safe haven to recover from crisis, a space to engage and grow through dialogue and to develop the strengths and capabilities to return confidently to the mainstream. We are at the discovery phase of development and are building the case for funding, evaluating delivery mechanisms and identifying partners. Our aim is to create a physical campus capable of providing transitional support to up to 40 people for 6-12 months. This will require a combination of capital and operating funding, for which there is a draft business case prepared, and stakeholder engagement and consultation are underway. As a Non-Executive Director, I am responsible for providing independent advice, support and challenge to the executive team in helping to shape delivery of strategy and policy priorities, and to manage major risks. The NED Board operates according to recognised principles of good corporate governance, including articulation of a clear vision for the organisation, effective challenge and scrutiny of executive performance, and promoting transparency through clear and fair reporting.
