  At the City of Saskatoon, I was responsible for the City’s Human Resources/Payroll system. I enjoyed working in a SQLServer environment. I worked hard to improve the reliability of the data and minimize downtime which is so critical in a financial environment.

  At the University, I started working for the Facilities Management Division as their sole Database Administrator where I was responsible for a dozen Enterprise and locally written Applications. To ensure that the growth of these endeavors would continue unimpeded, I developed a 5 Year plan for upgrading and resourcing. Whether it was to protect the University’s architectural drawings or ensure that its multi-million dollar payments were made on time, I made data security a priority.When I was promoted to the Information & Communication Technology Division, I provided Database management for the University’s Enterprise Applications, such as the Payroll and Human Resources System on Peoplesoft and the Student Support System on Ellucian’s Banner. To lay the ground work for automation, I used Process Mapping to streamline and standardize the updating of corporate data and software. Show less
