      Deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-02 from July to October 2009 as a member of Regimental Combat Team 8. Of particular note, served as the primary point of engagement between the company and the senior Iraqi Security Force leadership in the Baghdadi, area as well as, planned and executed night time combined counter-IED (C-IED) operations in the Baghdadi area. Developed strategic plans, prepared administrative reports, delivered briefs, and managed $1.2 million weapons armory for 120-member organization.Coordinated all logistics activities involving personnel, vehicle, and equipment embarkation totaling $2 million of materiel.Collected, evaluated, and prepared operational and intelligence information for combined arms and other operations.       Responsible for providing instruction in all areas of countered improvised explosive device (C-IED) and Search to ANSF and collation explosive ordinance (EOD) units in order to improve their capabilities in combating the IED threat. Provide over 200 hours of high risk, live explosives training to soldiers from the 205th Afghanistan National Army, as well as partnering units with Special Operations Task Force South.Severed as CJTF Paladin Southwest's Project Manager overseeing four various construction projects totaling 5 million dollars in the establishment of Paladin’s forward operating base at Camp Leatherneck; in order for future explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) units to immediately begin EOD and C-IED Operations in Southern Afghanistan upon arrival.Served as a Primary Instructor for the explosives hazard reduction train the trainer course for members of JIEDDO’s Paladin East and Southwest in order to establish a standard period of instruction (POI) for future courses throughout the respective regional commands. Assist and advise the Georgian Company Commander on all matters pertaining to pre-deployment training and combat operations. Mentor and advise the company leadership in infantry tactics, techniques, and procedures in order to prepare for and execute combat missions spanning the range of military operations. Assist the Company Commander in developing and implementing a training plan based on established METs and higher headquarters' training guidance. As Team Operations Officer, coordinate all combat operations planning and sustainment training events ISO GLT and GLIB. Additionally, coordinate all pre-deployment and subsequent training for the entire GLT and its enablers in order prepare them for their upcoming deployment. As the Deputy Officer in Charge, coordinate the travel arrangements, pay entitlements and all administrative related matters for 18 Marines and Sailors of the GLT. Maintain accountability of and provide a daily report for all units conducting training from within the Regiment to the regimental operations officer and higher headquarters as needed. Served as the senior leader and on-scene commander for the Regiment’s operation center, which managed and orchestrated the action of over 4,500 Marines and Sailors. Coordinate with Assistant Operations officer with appropriating the proper manpower to division level and higher taskings. Created and led separate planning cells for future training events, which effectively coordinated all efforts in support of training events for over 4,500 Marines. Handle all matters with regards to the execution and design of the battalion-level Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluations, an evaluation designed to certify a unit preparation for operational deployments throughout the world. Revamp the unit’s pre-deployment final evaluation exercise. The new designed provided the Regimental and Battalion Commander the ability to asses each of his subordinates company’s ability to command and control their units in offense and defensive operations within an amphibious setting. Planned, coordinated, and supervised over 15 training event and live fire exercises for over 175 Marines including complex and dangerous mountaineering skills, basic combat techniques, marksmanship, urban warfare, rapid response planning, adjacent unit coordination, reconnaissance coordination, patrolling, raids, and stability operations in a counter-insurgency environment. Show less Responsible for the overall leadership, supervision, mentorship, and development of a training company staff comprised of 26 NCOs, SNCOs, Commissioned Officers, and up to 460 student personnel per 29-day training cycle. Marines were trained and evaluated in their proficiency at basic combat skills through demanding academic and physical standards in order to graduate. Supervised the training of over 4,700 entry-level Marines in 42 infantry tasks. Consistently ranked numbered 1 out of 5 training Companies in performance throughout my 36 month tenure.Create as necessary operational risk management matrices for all training events, designed to mitigate the potential risk of injuries while accomplishing the mission. Maintained the proficiency of over 20 Combat Instructors through the planning and implementation of rigorous off-cycle training as well as proficiency and knowledge assessments to ensure their peak instruction capability.Implemented innovative concurrent training initiatives within the program of instruction, designed to maximize student participation and retention.
