  As the founder of www.sofiastrides.com and @sofiastrides (Instagram), I seek to empower community members and to help them find their stride and run their race in all aspects of life, including health, wellness, fitness, and faith. Published content includes but is not limited to, encouraging blogs, healthy recipes, workouts, and fitness tips.

  Fgcu athletics social media specialist

  As a social media specialist, I specifically ran the Instagram for the FGCU Men’s Basketball team (@fgcu_mbb). I also assisted with our Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, and Softball social platforms. I planned, curated daily posts, and created templates using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva. Significant achievements of mine include growing the @fgcu_mbb account approximately 2700 followers in one year, surpassing 10,000 total followers. This employment experience taught me adaptability after my department went through some management transitions and some changes were made. Learning new processes and procedures ultimately expanded my knowledge and capabilities. Show less

  Nil store social media specialist

  As a social media specialist, I run the FGCU NIL Store Instagram (@fgcu.nil.store). I plan, curate daily posts, and create templates using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva. I also assist in recruiting student athletes and help them in signing up to be NIL Store associates.

  Learning assistant

  As a learning assistant, I work with one Anatomy and Physiology II lecture course. My responsibilities include hosting office hours, assisting students during class each week, and attending weekly pedagogy seminars. Through my training with the university and the national Learning Assistant Alliance, I am actively learning how to transform the classroom by implementing research-based instructional strategies and enhance my student’s learning experience.
