Preschool teacher, after school recreational program leader

Started volunteer work for the city in 2011 (age 15), was then hired to work for preschool programs, city events, and to complete clerical work (e.g. file, craft, and equipment reorganization). Applied myself to as many areas as I was allowed with the City of Dublin, always excited to say "Yes!" to an opportunity or a challenge presented. At 17, the preschool director hand-selected me to start up then run a new "Pre-Preschool" program with the City of Dublin called Little Lovies where I taught classes of up to 12 students at a time, aged 18 months to 3 years old. Little Lovies garnered an extensive waiting list in its first academic year with myself as lead teacher. I ran this program for two years.Preschool classes I co-taught prior to running Little Lovies:-3's at Emerald Glen Preschool-4's at Emerald Glen Preschool-4's at Shannon Preschool-JrK at Shannon PreschoolPositions held:-Little Lovies Lead Teacher-Floating T.A. for all preschool sites-After School Recreational Leader-On-Call Substitute for all preschool classes & after-school sites-Event Help for various city-events (i.e. St. Patrick's Day Parade, Family Campout, SPLATTER)I have experience working with children from 6 months to 13 years old, as well as assisting children with special needs. Also well-versed in handling the public's questions and assisting them when needed. Show less

      Jan 2016 - Jan 2017
      Preschool teacher

Taught the 2 year olds’ class (18 students). Was also attending full-time classes online to further my education. Great company with lovely staff. Gained business experience in a private school setting, since my previous experience was working Public centers. Also networked, keeping in touch with some students' parents, still babysitting for them on weekends or special occasions.

      Jan 2017 - Jan 2018
      Front office receptionist

This role evolved much in my time working at this private dental facility. I cashed insurance checks and sent/filed respective claims; kept track of patient accounts creating daily, weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly reports to keep accounts up-to-date and accurate; helped maintain the cleanliness of the facility; and led reception tasks such as greeting, welcoming, and otherwise assisting patients as they arrived for their appointments; scheduling or rescheduling; was in charge of the phone lines and answering machine system; and just offering the highest level of customer/patient service possible. While at Joe’s I learned new tools, systems, and processes quickly, even getting involved with back-end operations of grocery retail to learn general best practices. I had my own “section” of the store, for which I maintained the order as well as planned and executed the physical layout, after just a month onboard. I also created lasting connections with a variety of co-workers, further expanding my network, making a point to keep in touch even as we start to evolve and grow outside of this specific organization and into new areas of the workforce. Lots of teamwork. Assist cashiers with organizing orders and offer help to all members. When cashiering, handle all transactions carefully and with courteous efficiency; also help count and close register tills. Experience working bakery (heavy lifting, learning specific streamlined processes, handling custom orders with care). Push carts often; 8hr shifts; maintaining the lot’s order, organization, and cleanliness; also assist with carry-outs for large or challenging orders (carts is basically like a big workout). Supported many other departments in the warehouse, being flexible with scheduling and working various job assignments to cover in low-staff situations. Show less
