  As a tutor for UVic Law's Amicus program I assisted first year JD students in learning and understanding the standard 1L course materials. In addition, I was also responsible for tutoring 2L JID students in their contracts course, which included learning in the areas of both common law contracts and Indigenous law treaties.

  I participated in The Law Centre (TLC) student course in my final semester of law school, from May-August 2020. After completing the course I continued working for TLC as a part-time employee, assisting in the interim period before the next course of students began working on case files. In my role as a Law Centre student I managed my own caseload and dealt directly with clients, assisting them with matters in areas such as family, criminal, residential tenancy, employment, and human rights law. My work at TLC was varied and included such tasks as conducting client intake interviews, drafting and submitting legal claims, and representing clients at various tribunals. Show less

  I have conduct over files in several areas of practice, primarily civil litigation, wills and estates, and family law. My civil litigation files are varied and include personal injury, commercial litigation, contract disputes, and estate litigation. I have the pleasure of practicing as both a litigator and solicitor, and I enjoy both of these facets of the legal profession.
