Lakshmi voelker chair yoga

This is an "on the Chair" training for people who have difficulty doing yoga on the floor or who can't stand long enough without the aid of a chair. It is a great way for wheelchair bound people to participate in the benefits of yoga. Of course chair yoga can be adaptable to people who can use the chair to stand for supported standing yoga poses. It is also a way for women who practice modesty for religious purposes to do yoga while in traditional dress of their faith.

Activities and Societies: I taught Yoga at the Chinatown YMCA Prana Yoga Teacher Training is taught by Dr. Jeff Migdow and Priti Robyn Ross. It combines mantra with traditional yoga asana. The resonance of sound, breath and posture combine for a healing effect on the body and mind. This synergy can be a way to harmonize a sense of whole body connectedness.

Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Program has at its core a Yoga Therapy based training that can be used in hospital and other settings. It is under the direction of Rodney and Colleen Yee. It includes precise training based on the Iyengar style of Yoga.
