  I took a 4 month break from work to attend to my family. My daughter was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in June 2016 and underwent a successful Stem Cell Transplant in Sydney. During this time we learnt the importance of open communication with our colleagues and those that we interact with. After a number of years of FIFO this time together as a family rebuilt many relationships and trust between each other. I returned back to work with BHP on the 12th March 2018.I have included this as an experience as it is these personal experiences that assist us in our learning as well as working with others, an important part of our life at work. During this time we both received and provided support with many families that underwent similar journeys and this time was invaluable in teaching us how to support others. Show less
