The role had me working on a number of multi million pound construction projects from care homes to swimming pools.• Tasks included communication between site and subcontractors ordering materials, arrangement of incoming services such as gas and water to site and also finding solutions to design issues that arose as the project progressed, working closely with external architects and engineers. Assisting with the BREEAM environmental assessment on projects and supporting information.• Also had to travel to site and client meetings to resolve the live problems the client had with the project. The energy can be used to power pedestrian lighting, information displays and many more applications.As an Industrial Design Engineer within Pavegen I was responsible for product development to maximise the efficency of the product including direct communication between manufacturers and overseeing on site installations. Also taking new products through the manufacturing process ready for sale to the clients.Other roles included prototyping new designs, editing images for publications such as the Guardian, proposal/ installation documents and selling at trade shows.
