  Box Office India made me explore how the journalism industry functions. Since this was a trademagazine, I learnt how to write trade releases which is different in comparison to mainstreamentertainment. I also understood how box office numbers are calculated, which cities bring in thebig box office numbers. During my tenure at Box Office India, I had the opportunity ofinterviewing the legendary writer Salim Khan. Getting his interview involved a follow up of onemonth, after which he agreed for the interview.   As a correspondent at Stardust and StarWeek magazine, my role included getting exclusivestories through sources, thinking of feature ideas, coordinating and conducting interviews withcelebrities. Apart from this, I was also a part of the Stardust awards 2013. At the awards, I wasresponsible for the red carpet co-ordination. I was responsible for making sure that the media gotto take photographs and bytes with all the celebrities who were present at the awards.

  This was my first Public Relations job. Here I learned how the Public Relations industryfunctions. Here, I was working on the Hollywood Studio Universal Films’ with my seniorcolleague. Here the challenge was to promote Hollywood films without any cast support.
