  FRC Team 4550: Something's Bruin. Directed community outreach and sponsorship for two years before becoming the team's driver. Served as the Team Captain and Driver Coach in the final year with the team. I led the team of 30 students and trained new adult mentors in learning to build and program a robot for local, state, and nation-wide competitions, including a 2019 Colorado state finalist position the year I drove.

  As an intern, I got to perform QA testing on the platform's support system for bug fixes, new features, and releases. I also wrote documentation for regression test cases to be used on future releases and automated testing. Tools required for this role were TestRail, Jira, Jenkins, ServiceNow, and GitHub. During my time at Pax8, I got to participate in several workshops involving business development, quality assurance automation, and working in an agile environment in addition to spending time shadowing several front and back end developers.   Software engineer intern

  One of the fastest growing private companies in the US, Pax8 is a marketplace for cloud solutions with a people-first attitude. As a software engineering intern, I got to perform maintenance and development on the platform's billing system. This role was mostly backend development, helping expand microservices and repair the monolith, but I got some frontend experience as well. The tools and languages I used in this role were: Groovy, Kotlin, Spring Boot, OpenAPI, Mockito, SQL, Vue, GitHub, Jira, Postman, and MongoDB. Show less

  Automation engineer intern

  Returning to Pax8 for a third internship, I got the chance to learn QA Automation. Using Playwright, I created robust, automated integration tests for the Platform's billing system and its microservices. I also developed new services to communicate between the monolith and microservices for populating test data, and I took the initiative to create onboarding documentation for the team's QAs as they made the jump to automation engineers.
