      Mobilised and led a team of 19 business and technical specialists and managed a budget in excess of $10 million, to develop the business processes and technical platform to ensure the integrity of data destined for a complex ERP (SAP) implementation. Responsible for business engagement, development of technical infrastructure, and management of interfaces to the wider program. Led the development of a new credit card acquiring capability, enabling the acquisition and settlement of credit card transactions in foreign currencies, from concept to implementation requiring leadership of 17 resources and management of a budget in excess of $6 million. Initially for a large multi-national airline while allowing for flexibility to implement at all other customer levels.

      Project established to migrate MLC banking from Westpac to National. This project involves building transactional functionality on NAB systems to match that of Westpac. The role has responsibility for all project activities both in NAB and MLC. Asked to take over and lead the in-sourcing of JPMorgan as an agent bank and develop systems and procedures to perform day one and day two processing for paper and direct entry transactions. Project included the development of a new internet channel to transfer and enrich data to JPMorgan. Phase one completed successfully providing a revenue stream of $2 million per annum

      Engaged to perform a project management coaching role in the Business Channels area of the transport ticketing project for the State of Victoria. Following the resignation of the existing project manager, was requested to lead the Card Issuing and Concession Management cross functional team of 14 subject matter experts, managing the supply of cards and processing of concession entitlements within the new ticketing system. Responsibility for securing a budget of $130m.

      Connecting to 50 accounting and payment systems this program will develop a global platform providing payments and accounting services to channels and other systems. Responsible for the development of the business business case and mobilisation of the program. Led a team to develop the five year payments strategy and roadmap, define the supporting projects and develop the investment slate request for funds. This resulted in seven payments projects approved for the 2013 plan year. Engaged to establish automated processing of international and domestic payment clearing and settlement processing major locations in Asia for the group. Responsible for a team of 75 with a budget (phase 1 and phase 2) of over $30m. Project has successfully rolled out the new system and processes to three Asian locations.

      Reporting to the Chief Project Officer this role is instrumental in changing the profile and capabilities of project management within Telstra. The role is assigned to the lead/rescue of projects in the top 25 ‘CEO Watch List’ Projects. Achievements: - Turned around the Industry solutions program of work (($52m and 250 people) from a ‘parade of delays’ over two years to one of consistent delivery and achieving PMO recognition for the best run projects within Global Enterprise services - Recovered and Managed the Telstra Retail NBN+ Consumer Program (part of the Digitisation Program) – team of 700, $600m forecast spend, 47 sprint teams delivering a Salesforce/ServiceNow solution. Project was removed from the CEO ‘Projects of Concern’ list within the first eight weeks through implementation of appropriate standards and processes; Project costs reduced by $6m per month with no reduction in scope or schedule - Recovered the IFRS Revenue Reporting project (compliance project – $98m and 160 staff ) that needed intervention after three years of attempting to deliver - Established the proactive assurance process for quick and simple health checks on projects and had this adopted as the enterprise standard review process for projects at Telstra - Implemented an Agile approach within the Retail Learning and Development area that saw a reduction in turn around of the production of learning artefacts from four weeks to weekly Show less
