  As a Senior Partner in the company, I oversee the operations of the business. Part of my responsibility is to implement partner/company decisions, mission, and initiatives; to maintain the smooth operation of the firm, with the assistance of key mentors and consultants.The Senior Partners of Recovery Concepts of Michigan are actively engaged in analyzing and reviewing financial data, reporting financial performance, preparing budgets and monitoring expenditures and costs. As a Senior Partner, I also have responsibility in the company's business administrative operations, including issues related to marketing, contract development, personnel, program development and the direct delivery of Peer Support services to our current contracts. Show less Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) are individuals who are strong in their mental health recovery, have specialized training and have a unique background and skill level that is based on their experience with their own mental illness as well as use of services and supports to achieve their personal goals of community membership, independence and productivity. A CPSS has a unique ability to gain trust and respect of others because of their shared experience and perspective with mental illness, and with planning and negotiating the human services system. Peer Specialist Services, as defined by the Michigan Department of Community Health Medicaid Provider manual 17.3.H.1.: “provide individuals with opportunities to support, mentor and assist consumers to achieve community inclusion, participation, independence, recovery, resiliency and/or productivity.”Certified Recovery Coach (CRC) utilizes strengths-based support for persons with addictions or in recovery from alcohol, other drugs, codependency, or other addictive behaviors. Recovery coaches work with persons with active addictions as well as persons already in recovery. Recovery coaches are helpful for making decisions about what to do with your life and the part your addiction or recovery plays. Recovery coaches help clients find ways to stop addiction (abstinence), or reduce harm associated with addictive behaviors. Recovery coaches can help a client find resources for harm reduction, detox, treatment, family support and education, local or online support groups; or help a client create a change plan to recover on their own.   Executive director

  My Place- Center for Wellness is a Drop-in Center (community center) for adults, living in Oakland County Michigan, who have been diagnosed with various mental health conditions. My Place provides daily activities and recovery groups that enhance our Members sense of purpose and self-worth. As the Executive Director, I oversee the daily business operations of My Place- Center for Wellness: contracts, policies, procedures, financials, marketing, fund-raising and daily interaction with Members, the Board of Directors, my Staff, and all visiting persons. Developing and facilitating Mental Health Recovery workshops, one-on-one Peer Support, Advocating for our Members, and Community Outreach Programs are also some of the duties under my jurisdiction as the Executive Director of My Place- Center for Wellness. My work does involve direct contact with Clinicians, Guardians, Mental Health Providers, Public Safety Employees, Local Officials and our Member's friends and/or family. Show less
