  Zagreb and Rijeka candidacy preparations for the 3rd European Universities Games 2016 started in early 2012. The team “Zagreb - Rijeka 2016” showed exceptional professionalism and enthusiasm during the bidding process. With clearly defined goals it had accelerated creation of a national consensus and support of the candidacy, and by creating memorable presentation it enchanted the panel of 13 members of the European Universities Sport Association Executive Committee. As a result, Zagreb and Rijeka will be hosts of the 3rd European Universities Games.This great athletic and academic event is one of the largest Croatian projects in the last 20 years. Show less
