Build a non-profit organization and board of trustees who collectively formed the mission and vision of the school. Collaborated with another certified teacher and local community artists and volunteers to build a library, develop a choir, and offer private music and art lessons after school. Developed a nutritional program and collaborated with parents in the community to offer healthy “home cooked” meals during lunch. Drafted a floor plan and conceptual drawings with an architect for the renovation of a warehouse in hopes of relocating into the space in the future. Created informational material for marketing and admissions purposes such as brochures, video, personal endorsements by local politicians, newspaper articles, application packet, and report card including standards achieved in math and writing, integrated project grades, character feedback, literacy evaluation, and teacher narratives. Participated in special training through the International Alliance for Learning conferences for non-violent communication, mind-mapping, “Neues-Learnen, and Accelerated learning which would be directly implanted in the daily curriculum. This involved supervising a faculty of 14 part-time lecturers, building a beginning team under lockdown and budget restrictions, developing a student marketing team, leading a mission and vision review, supervising 20 students during teaching practice, supporting a teaching practice coordinator, and developing relationships with 17 new teaching partner schools around the world. I also worked closely with the founder of the program to build partnerships with Northern Arizona University to build a dual degree program where ITESS students may obtain an American teaching license in addition to our undergraduate degree. My greatest achievement was initiative and organizing a two week remote learning/hybrid teaching practice for 68 student teachers in ITESS with 19 mentor teachers in Wisconsin. Show less
