  The Abyss was the premier venue for national touring Alternative music in the Houston area throughout the 90's. I started my audio career as an intern at the Abyss while I was attending the Art Institute of Houston. Within 3 months, I had been promoted to Production manager and took the helm of assigning tasks to loaders, stage hands, A1 and A2 sound engineers for all of the concerts until I left to work for Mars Music.

  Mars Music, Inc. was a chain of music stores based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At its peak, Mars Music consisted of 49 stores in 20 states and was the second largest company of its kind in the US. During my time with Mars, I held the positions of Pro Audio/Recording specialist, Pro Audio department manager, Assistant Manager and New Store setup crew.

  Fitzgerald's was one of the oldest and widely recognized live music venues in the Greater Houston area. The club had been at the top of the live music scene in Houston since it opened in 1977. Fitzgerald’s closed and the 100 year old building was demolished in 2019. I was on a small team of Audio Engineers that managed two stages doing Front of House sound, Stage monitors and lighting for many national and regional groups touring through the Houston area.

  A.D. Vision (known simply as ADV and also referred to as ADV Films) was an American multimedia entertainment distributor headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company specialized in home video production and distribution, theatrical film distribution, merchandising, original productions, magazine and comic book publishing. They also ran Anime Network, a television channel devoted to airing the company's titles. I was tasked with recording and editing the English language audio of mostly Japanese animated and live action series/features. Working closely with directors and vocal artist to achieve optimal takes in a timely fashion. Also rendering and archiving the finished media. Apple Computers, Pro Tools recording systems, microphone preamps and condenser microphones were our tools of choice. Credits include.
