  It is the only transport research institute under the responsibility of the Czech Ministry of Transport. I worked for Environmental section. The key activities were systematic research into and permanent monitoring of environmental impact caused by transport in the Czech Republic.I was mainly focused on the evaluation of acoustic conditions in the vicinity of roads, especially on the measurement, mathematical modeling, noise mapping and the assessment of the population's exposure to noise from traffic.For the modeling of noise from transport and industry we used the software SoundPLAN. For measuring of noise was used measurement instrument Norsonic.Partly I was focused on the establishment of indicators of sustainable transport development, particularly on calculations and the assessment of trends. We offered services like implementation voluntary tools (EMAS, IPPC) and environmental education and training. Show less
